The bigger picture
Mar 05, 2020Hey {{first_name}}!
Two years ago I saw a Youtube video by writer Dr Wayne Dyer in which he talked about the near-death experience of his sister-in-law. She suffered a major car accident on a Detroit highway and ended up in the hospital. She stepped out of her body, saw it from a distance, and although it seemed for a moment that she would leave life at that moment on the operating table, she was allowed to take a look into the life hereafter.
Once back in her body (and therefore in her life) she changed. She saw the bigger picture. She took more 'me-time'. Reflected a lot. Loved where she could fuse love in. Paid attention to the little things. And above all ... she stopped worrying.
I can go on for hours about near-death experiences. Don't worry. I won't. At least not for now.
It's all about that bigger picture. That image that you can only see if you stay close to yourself.
This is a challenge for highly sensitive people. Everyday life is so busy and full of stimuli that it is difficult to stay true to yourself. The reason you are so tired at the end of the day is actually a sign that you have given so much energy. To your family, your work and the people around you.
Also, save some energy for yourself.
Because you will find yourself in overwhelming situations.
Experience frustrations.
Feeling stuck. Again.
If you have some energy for yourself, you can begin to understand that bigger picture. Increase your focus and open new perspectives on the situation in which you are trapped. Your work, your relationship, etc. It is so human - if we experience frustration, overwhelming or stuck - to take it personally.
“Yes, but he … (or she...)“
"If X wouldn't be so annoying to me right now ..."
"AAAAAH! How annoying is Y! Does that person really not see that he is the problem? "
If you experience feelings like this…. Congratulations! You are human. A real person. Just invite that bigger picture to appear. Your focus becomes larger, your attention shifts from your "me" to the larger whole.
And right there, at that moment, when you suddenly notice you let a sigh escape from your mouth, you know: "Ok. I released it. "
Your stomach opens. Your mind is clear. You're ready for the rest of your day.
The bigger picture. Thanks to dr Wayne D.
